How routing rules work
Smart routing checks the saved rules from top to bottom. The first rule that matches the visitor's scan chooses the destination. If no rule matches, the code uses its current destination.
Rules can match a device type, operating system, language, country, or time window.
Add a route
Open Smart routing on the code's detail page and select Add route. Choose the signal to match, enter its value and destination, then save the routing rules.
Use the App Store preset to start with common destinations for Apple, Google, and Amazon devices.
Order and test routes
Put specific rules before broad rules because only the first match is used. Always test the fallback destination and each important route on the device or environment it targets.
Remove smart routing
Remove every route and save. With no routing rules, every successful scan uses the code's current destination.
